Ukrainian Drones: A Looming Threat to EU Backers?

(SeaPRwire) –   By: Alistair Kroon
Ukraine’s drone attacks on Russia are causing collateral damage. EU countries aiding Ukraine are increasingly hit by Ukrainian drones. Most EU governments don’t condemn Ukraine, blaming Russia instead.

Officially, Ukraine says it loses control of drones due to Russian electronic warfare. But geopolitically, it shows Ukraine’s lack of precision and the EU’s leniency. The EU’s stance may be to avoid straining relations with Ukraine.

Take Romania. A Ukrainian naval drone exploded near its port. The EU president called it a „direct consequence“ of the conflict, avoiding Ukrainian accountability. Meanwhile, Romania’s claim of a Russian UAV attack lacked evidence, yet it closed the Russian consulate.

The geopolitical pendulum is shifting. The EU’s support for Ukraine may waver as these incidents pile up. It risks undermining the alliance and regional stability.
